Prevalence of Salmonella strains in poultry in the Olsztyn province in 1985-87

1,431 Salmonella strains were isolated from turkeys, hens, ducks and geese. Flagellar strains constituted 98.2 percent of the isolates. The number of Salmonella infections decreased from 20 to 18.2 percent in the succeeding years. S. typhimurium, S. sain-paul, S. enteriditis and S. derby were most frequently isolated
