The method of measurement of tractor wheel spin as well as the method for calculation of theoretical and actual forward speed of the tested tractor is described. Theoretical and actual forward speed should be under permanent control because of its constant changes due to the influence of changing soil properties and forces acting on a wheel. These methods would be useful in testing agricultural self-propelled machines
