[Effect of different energy level in the diet during the pregnancy on the sow body weight and piglet rearing performance]

An experiment on 30 Polish Landrace sows fed with the ration containing: 2.5-4.5 oat units of energy till the 100th day of pregnancy, 5.0-3.5 oat units of energy from the 101th day to parturution and 6.0 oat units of energy till the 56th day of lactation was carried out. There was positive correlation between diet energy level and sow body weight. No effect of energy level in the ration of sow on number and birth weight of piglets was stated
