Behaviour of some early tomato hybrids under outside and inside conditions

During the 1983-1985 period 10 early tomato hybrids created at the Research Institute for Vegetable and Flower Growing-Vidra have been tested in three different pedoclimatic regions of Romania (Vidra, Bacau, Dabuleni). The researchers have studied the earliness, yield quality, preservation as fresh tomatoes and resistance to Septoria lycopersici of these hybrids, as compared to the standard, Export II. The best results in open field crops have been obtained for the hybrids HT-E, HT-B, HT-C, HT-D, HT-I, while under high plastic tunnels the best results have given the hybrids HT-E, HT-J, HT-D.
