[Evaluation of morphological sperm characteristics in young bulls]

231 ejaculates of 10 young bulls of the brown species and 2 of the Charolais species have been examined. 16 parameters have been established. On the basis of the relationship between the investigated characteristics it could be concluded that the following parameters should be determined for the evaluation of sperms: volume of the ejaculate, density, total number of spermatozoids, share of live spermatozoids, progressive movement of fresh, diluted and dissolved sperms as well as the progressive movement of spermatozoids in the resistance test.
