Investigation of the influence of bees on fertility and fruit quality of Starking apples and Bartlett pears

Fertilization, yield and fruit quality of the Starking apple variety were better in the part of the plantation where there was the largest number of bee colonies (16 per 3 hectars). In the places with fewer bee colonies (4 and 8 per 3 hectars) and distant from apiaries fertilization and yield were achieved at the distance of 50 to 100 meters from apiaries. The yield was lower at greater distances.
