Pomological characteristics and chemical composition of the sour cherry and morello fruits cultivated in Polimlje [Yugoslavia]

Pomological and chemical properties of sour cherry and morello cherry fruits under the conditions of Polimlje (Yugoslavia) vary with the varieties and years of investigation. The obtained results of the dry matter content obtained by drying, soluble matter and total acids in the fruits of those varieties are approximately equal to the literature data. The sugar contents in the fruits are higher in Polimlje than under the conditions of Cacak and Bijeljina (Yugoslavia).
