To study the feasibility of growing wheat after mustard in the same season [Bangladesh]

The experiment was conducted at Agricultural Research Station, Bangladesh Agricultural Research Institute Shyampur, Rajshahi for the rabi season of 1986-87 to find out the efficacy of growing wheat after mustard in the same season. An early variety of mustard, Tori-7 at the seed rate of 9-10 kg/ha and late variety of wheat Kanchan that of 100-120 kg/ha both sowing broadcast on 37th October and 9th January respectively in irrigated condition. The grain yield of mustard was 950 kg/ha and that of wheat was 2800 kg/ha.
