The effect of different degrees of severity of the symptoms of potato leaf roll virus on growth parameters, yield components and yield was studied on the potato cv. Cardinal. The severity groups were rated as severely stunted, moderately stunted and less stunted. It was observed that with the increase of severity of PLRV, growth parameters viz. number of leaves, stems per hill length and breadth of top leaflet; yield components namely, length of stolon, number and weight of tubers per hill were affected and the yield declined gradually.
