Influence of planting dates on the yield and yield components of four mustard varieties [Bangladesh]

Four mustard varieties viz. Tori-7, SS-75, TS-72 and J-5004 were planted at Regional Agricultural Research Station, Jessore on four dates of planting October 1, October 16, November 1, and November 16 to find out the effects of planting date on the yield and yield components of four mustard varieties. Planting dates significantly influenced plant height, number of siliqua/plant, seed yield (1.45 t/ha) was obtained from the plants of second planting (October 16). Four cultivars differed significantly from each other in respect of seed yield and other yield components of mustard. The variety J-5004 (Daulat) performed best among the four varieties in all dates of planting.
