Three groups, each of 50 broiler chicks, were raised on ration irradiated with 6 kGy. 25 kGy of CO(30) gamma source, and on untreated feed (stock ration). Investigation at body weight, feed consumption, certain biochemical and haematological parameters revealed no significant alterations and observations. From the results of the experiment it may be stated that poultry rations irradiated up to a dose of 25 kGy are safe from toxicity point of view.
