Electron microscopy of tomato leaf curl virus

Electron microscopy examination of leaf dip virus preparation was made from tomato leaf curl virus-infected plant 8 stained with 2% neutral Phosphotungstate Acid. A JEM-100 SX (JEOL-LTD) type electron microscope was used for observation of virus morphology. Crude virus preparation was composed of unaggregated virus particles. Measurement of virus particles showed a length of 680 nm at 60.000 times magnification. No other particle types of virus-like morphology were seen.
