An economic study of main factors affecting poultry production in Egypt

Poultry production is one of the main activities of animal production which provide consumers with some of animal protein requirements. The study dealt with production; its structure and factors affecting it in the period of (1968-1982). The study has shown that the more important factors of production are feed, chicks veterinary care, prices and Government intervention. The study showed also fluctuations of poultry farm prices and their annual during that period. The statistical analysis has revealed that the main factors affecting poultry production are farm price and number of chicks hatched.
