Sesame seeds production decreased with PMA [Phenyl Mercuric Acetate] and CCC treatments as compared with control. The seed oil percentage was increased, and the higher percentages were obtained with the lower concentrations of either PMA or CCC. Application of PMA and CCC increased the acid value, sabonification value and Richer-Meissl. value but decreased the iodine value. PMA and CCC treatments reduced the number of the detected fatty acids, except in the case of higher PMA concentration, which gave an equal number and the ratio of unsaturated to saturated fatty acids was decreased.
