Studies of irrigation intervals and nitrogen fertilizer on rape plants. 1.- Growth criteria [Egypt]

The data indicated that the growth characters of rapeseed plant were not affected by irrigation intervals, however there was a tendency for increasing the growth criteria by providing plants with sufficient quantity of water. Nitrogen fertilizer had significant effect on rapeseed growth. Inoculated Azospirillum and Azotobacter to the seed which received 60 kg N/fad reduced number, fresh and dry weight of leaves/ plant and inflorescence number/plant in 1985 season while in the second season, the above two nitrogen treatments did not affect the growth characters.
