Three patterns of intercropping sunflower with soybean under three ridge widths along with check treatment were investigated. Results showed that intercropping had no significant effect on dry weight of stem/ plant and head diameter of sunflower at 85 days from sowing. However, plant height, number of leaves/ plant, dry weight of leaves and head/ plant, leaf area/ plant and leaf area index decreased sigificantly by intercropping treatment. Ridge width, intercropping pattern and their interaction affected significantly plant height, stem diameter, number of leaves/ plant, dry weight of leaves, stem and head/ plant, head diameter, leaf area/ plant, and leaf area index (LAI). However, the stem diameter, number of leaves/ plant and dry weight of stem/ plant of 1:1 intercropping pattern surpassed those of 1:2 and 3:3 patterns while dry weight of leaves and head/ plant, head diameter, leaf area and leaf area index of 1:2 intercropping pattern surpassed those of 1:1 and 3:3 patterns.
