The present investigation was carried out at Sakha Agric. Res. St. during 1981/82 and 1982/83 seasons. The main objective of this work was to study the effect of three sowing dates (Oct. 15, Nov. 7 and Nov. 28), three plant densities (93, 333; 140, 000 and 186, 666 plants/ faddan), on plant growth of three Faba bean (Vicia faba L.) cultivars (Giza 3, Giza 4 and Sevill Giant). Results showed that late sowing date produced shorter plants and lower number of branches per plant at all growth stages in both seasons. While early sowing date exceeded the late one in dry weight per plant and produced the highest values of LA and LAI at the three growth stages during the two seasons.
