1988
Dapaah-Siakwan, S. | Adzaku, J.C.
The groundwater potential in the Botanical garden of the University of Ghana was assessed for irrigation purpose for the cultivation of vegetables. Sandy clay, quartzites, phyllites and schist with varying degrees of weathering characterise the geology. High groundwater accumulations were found with total available drawdown of 25.9m., a pumping rate of 60 g per minute and with good well recovery. With a pH of 6.0 (acidic), the water is suitable for drinking and for irrigation
