Occurrence of Sclerotinia white mold on Helianthus tuberosus in Hungary

The isolation of the fungus was possible from surface-sterilized sclerotia. The characteristics of cultures were investigated on potato dextrose agar, Leonian's agar and Czapek-Dox's agar media. The identification was based on the CMI description No. 513. Present paper is the first report on the occurrence of Sclerotinia sclerotiorum on H. tuberosus in Hungary
