The authors reviewed and briefly summarized the literature data on the applicability of enzyme inhibition thin layer chromatography. The procedure and technique of pesticide residue analysis and preparation of plant samples are briefly described. Thin layer chromatography characteristics i.e. HRf and MDQ values of 63 pesticide active ingredients are presented and their toxicological LD50 values compared to the MDQ values as determined with the experimental method described.
