[Collecting and surveying of insect fauna on grapevine in Khuzestan province]

During weekly sampling from different parts of grapevine in Ahwaz and Kut-Abdollah vineyards, and also Mollasani, Hamidieh, Safiabad, Chamian village in 1979-1980, ten species have been collected; (1) Holocasista rivilleist (Lepidoptera Heliozelidae); (2) Spodoptera littoralis Bois. (Lepidoptera Noctuidae); (3) Thertra alecto Bois (Lepidoptera; Sphingidae); (4) Anacridium aegypticum L. (orth.-Acridiae); (5) Microcerotems diversus silv. (ISO.-Termitidae); (6) Retithrips sp. (Thysanoptera-Thripidae); (7) Bemisia tabaci Gennad (Homoptera-Aleyrodidae); (8) Cicadatra ochreata Mel. (Homoptera-Cicadidae); (9) A species of Pseudococcidae (Homoptera); (10) A species of Cicadellidae (Homoptera). Among the mentioned above species, M. diversus collected from trunk and twigs, C. ochreata from root, and other from leaves, population density was usually scarce and the insects did not cause serious damage
