The results of experiment for obtaining basic data usable for the establishment of cultivation system by investigation of growth characteristics in Angelical polymorph Max. as wild vegetable. The ratio of seed germination was the best when the seeds were sown in the open-field. Summer softening cultivation was possible by 50 % shading. The bolting and flowering was improved by short-day treatment. The contents of inorganic elements was more in leaves and stems than in roots. With plant development, the contents of N. K. and Mg were disposed to decrease, but Ca content had increased. The content of P had decreased with bolting and flowering, but increased afterwards
