Rooting of shoots of Scots pine (Pinus sylvestris L.) with application of various substrates and stimulators

In the experiment with rooting the cuttings of Scots pine, 3 substrates: sand, peat and mixture of peat and sand and rooting stimulators were used. Stimulators had greater effect on rooting than a substrate. The greatest number of the rooted cuttings was observed in sand, the smallest in peat. The stimulation increased the number of rooted cuttings in all substrates and had a significant effect on their rooting. The best results were obtained after the use of own stimulating preparations containing 0.5 percent of IBA and 0.5 percent of NAA, worse - a commercial preparation Ukorzeniacz A. Other commercial preparations Seradix 2, Seradix 3, Ukorzeniacz B2 were not sufficiently active. Rootone was too toxic. An application of fertilizer Florovit did not improve rooting
