The amino acid composition of hair proteins in polar foxes from 2 weeks to 6 months of life was tested by electrophoresis and chromatography method. The various changes of quantity but not quality in amino acid composition of hair protein was observed. The highest content of cystine and cysteine was stated. The increase of cystine and cysteine content from 16 to 20 percent during winter fur development has been found
