Results of the twenty-second international spring wheat yield nursery (ISWYN) 1985-86

The twenty-second ISWYN was distributed in 1985-86 to various locations of spring wheat areas of the world. The nursery included 50 varieties that represented Mexico, USA, Argentina, Chile, Brazil, Guatemala, Turkey, Portugal, Yugoslavia, India, Bangladesh, Pakistan, China, and Australia. Instructions on nursery management accompanied the mailing of seeds to each cooperator. A field book was included with each nursery set providing a standard format for recording data desired by CIMMYT. Results of this international trial are presented in three forms: all data provided from each trial site are reported in a single table for that site; regional summaries are computed after grouping individual sites by agroclimatic criteria; and an international summary presents the means of all variables for all sites
