The effect of removing half of the leaf tissue, in 4 phenophases, on the grain yield, has been studied using 3 dwarf bean varieties. The obtained results show that studied varieties differ according to their sensitivity to leaf tissue damage. This difference can be of practical importance. The fact that the yield did not decrease as much as the leaf tissue did and the plants had the ability to adjust the yield are of great importance. The terms at which the leaf tissue are removed have a statistically significant effect.
