Effect of surface cultivation on the structure and dynamics of moisture in the soil

A study has been carried out in the agroecological conditions of the northern part of Backa (Yugoslavia), in the period from 1983 to 1985, on the effect that various implements and their combinations, applied at different times, have on the structure and dynamics of soil moisture. The study revealed that the standard variant (disking + levelling in fall and pulverization in spring) enables the best macro-aggregate soil structure and during most of the vegetation period, the soil contains a somewhat higher percentage of moisture than 0-60 cm.
