Inheritance of plant height and kernel number per spike in two-rowed winter barley

By analyzing the F1 generation after diallel crossing of 8 two-rowed barley genotypes (4 winter and 4 spring), the method of inheriting stalk height and kernel number per spike, as well as combinatory abilities, have been established. In the inheritance of stalk height and kernel number per spike,the dominance points higher stalks or a greater number of kernels per spike. The degree of domination differed depending on the parental pair (crossing combinations).
