Djokic, A. (Poljoprivredni fakultet, Beograd (Yugoslavia))
This work describes the method of creating the new winter variety called Agrounija and morphological, physiological, productive and good qualities of this new variety of winter wheat. With average yields of grain, for the period 1984-1986, the Agrounija variety gave a significantly greater yield than the standard varieties, Partizanka and Super Zlatna. In the stated period of time, the Agrounija variety had an average yield of 6.599 t/ha, Partizanka 6,255 t/ha, and the Super Zlatna 6,184 t/ha. The Agrounija variety showed an exceptionally high resistance to lodging, quite good towards low temperatures, stalk rust and fusarium disease, and good towards mildew and leaf rust. It possesses high-grade qualities for flour and bread, with a high percentage of raw protein (14,4 percent). It gave high yields in macroexperiments and microexperiments, in various areas where wheat is grown.
