Elements of spike productivity and content of mineral elements in F1 wheat hybrids and their parent varieties
1986
Mihaljev, I. (Poljoprivredni fakultet, Novi Sad (Yugoslavia))
It has been established that there is a large genetic variability in the content of N,P and K in the flag leaf, grain number and mass per spike in various wheat genotypes, and that there is no correlation in the contents of N, P and K in the wheat flag leaf. A medium positive correlation was found only between the content of P in the flag leaf and grain mass per spike, while the contents of other tested mineral elements in the wheat flag leaf were correlated neither with the grain number nor mass per spike. The content of N, P and K in the flag leaf cannot be considered a reliable indicator of spike productivity, i.e., yielding capacity of individual genotypes.
