Lablab bean development early/year round variety

Starting this hybridization program in 1984 quite a few promising lines have been developed. The 7 most promising lines were selected from F(2), F(3) and F(4) during the period from August 87 to January 88. Selection criteria were bearing, earliness, fibre content, size and colour of fruits. The selected materials produced fruits at least 2 months earlier than the existing earliest variety - Kartika.
