The characteristics of nitrogen and ash content of 37 species of plant on desert steppe in Neimenggu [China]

The characteristics of nitrogen and ash content of 37 species of plant on desert steppe in Neimenggu was reported in this paper. The results showed that the Si (1.019%) and ash (12.85% contents on desert steppe were higher than on typical and meadow steppe, but its N (2.16%) content was lower than typical and meadow steppe. The determination of the content of chemical elements indicated zonal characteristics from east to west in Neimenggu steppe zone
