Effects of crop stubbles on soil aggregates

Crop stubbles remaining in soil increased the amount of waterstable aggregates. Corn stubbles were the most effective among the crops studied (corn, sorghum, millet and soybean). Continuous cultivation of corn without removing stubbles could not only improve soil structure but also fertilize soil and increase crop yields
