1990
Zhao Yuping | Chang Yuefan (Beijing Agricultural Univ. (China))
According to the results of two year's soilless culture with sweet pepper and cucumber, the best ratio for the constitution of substratum is : sand : peat : vermiculite = 30:2:1 Zn SO4 as Zn micro-nutrient at PH 7.5 may deposit and cannot be absorbed by plants. Chelated Zn has a higher efficiency at PH 6.8-7.6 and is available to plants. The research shows, chelated Zn possesses better results on chlorophyll content, total production and Zn content of vegetables than Zn SO4, it may be considered that chelated Zn is the best form for soilless culture of vegetables in North China
