The present investigation was carried out in 1986 and 1987 in order to study the effect of different salinity treatments on vegetative growth and leaf mineral content of Anna apple seedlings. In both experimental seasone, it was found that the growth rate of the seedlings significantly decreased with increasing the salinity levels in the irrigation water. The P, K, Fe, Mn and Cu contents in the leaves decreased with increasing the salinity level, whereas Ca, Mg, Na and Cl showed a progressive increase. Nitrogen however, did not show a consistent trend.
