The influence of vitamin D free diet on biochemical changes in serum of immature rats was studied. The differences between variable levels and different types of vitamin D upon disturbances in total protein, albumin, calcium, calcium binding protein, phosphorus, phospholipids, total lipids and alkaline phoshatase activity in experimental animals were studied. Vitamin D deprivation caused significant reduction in the test parameters namely; total protein, albumin, calcium, calcium binding protein, inorganic phosphorus and phospholipids.
