[Fertility evaluation of potassium content in southern Iraqi soils and corn response to organic and potash fertilizing]
1988
Al-Tamimi, H.J.H.
The present investigation was conducted to study the fertility evaluation for potassium content and forms in 22 representative soils of organic residues on availability of native and added potassium. The results show that the organic residues addition increased potassium availability through increasing exchangeable potassium extracted by IN NH4OAC and improving dry matter yields, potassium content in plant tissue and potassium uptake. These materials however, decreased PBC** (K) values as a result of the effect of them on specific and non-specific sites of K
