Effect of growing season, location and variety on the quality of the commercially-grown durum wheats in Jordan [chemical and physical quality parameters; test weight; one thousand kernel weight; milling weight; falling numbers]
1988
Amr, A.S. (Jordan Univ., Amman (Jordan))
Five local durum wheat cultivars (ACSAD 65, DA2, F8, Horani, and Stork"S" were grown in two locations. Wheat quality was evaluated in respect to wheat ash, protein, moisture, falling number, test weight, one thousand kernel weight, and flour milling yield. Data were analyzed statistically to find the significance of the major effects (varieties, seasons, and location) as well as the different interactions among them in these quality parameters. Variety showed a highly significant effect (P/
