Nutrient requirements of Eucalyptus camaldulensis plants

The objective of the present work was to determine the nutrient requirements of Eucalyptus camaldulensis seedlings grown in nutrient solution. The results of the 1st experiment indicate that the fresh weight of the plants increased with increasing the nutrient concentrations until 300 ppm N. Also, at 600, 1200 and 2400 ppm N levels the plants died. The uptake rate was increased with increasing the nutrient concentrations. The highest growth of plants grown in 300 ppm N had high level of Ca. So in the 2nd experiment the new proportion of elements with high level of Ca (20 ppm) was used. The results of the second experiment indicate that there were no differences between the growth of plants grown in the two proportions of elements. It can be concluded that E. camaldulensis can grow well in the soil containing Ca concentrations between 7-20 ppm with the same proportions of clements in ppm 100 N, 13 P, 65 K, 8.5 Mg
