In the years 1984-85 two 1-year experiments were conducted on lessives soils with 1.6 percent organic matter content. In the 1st experiment the following treatments were evaluated: monolinuron 0.75 kg/ha + propachlor 4.55 kg/ha, propachlor 4.55 kg/ha + betazone 1.5 kg/ha and trifluralin 1.04 kg/ha + monolinuron 0.75 kg/ha and in the 2nd experiment the following herbicides: betazone 1.25 and 1.75 kg/ha chlorthaldimetyl 7.5 and 11.25 kg/ha, EPTC 4.62 and 6.16 kg/ha, monolinuron 0.5 and 0.75 kg/ha, propachlor 3.25 and 4.55 kg/ha and trifluralin 0.78 and 1.04 kg/ha
