A relatively higher elimination of the mites was observed in hybrids from Carniolan (Apis mellifera carnica Pollm.) queens in spring and in hybrids from Caucasian (Apis mellifera caucasica Gorb.) queens in autumn. Moreover, hybrids from Caucasian queens showed two to threefold higher infection with the parasite than those from Carniolan queens
