A specimen of Raphicerus campestris (Thunberg, 1811) collected in Angola, near Curoca River, in a small alluvial area encroached in the desert and away from the main range of the species, presents peculiar long hooves, whose length, compared with the same length in other specimens from Angola by using the Student's t test, proved to be significantly larger. Hypotheses about isolation and adaptation for the Raphicerus campestris population inhabiting that area were discussed in conformity
