In the period 1981-85 field investigations on the arrangement of stolons and tubers under bush in three early potato varieties: Azalia, Kalina and Sasanka, were carried out. Also the number of tubers attached to stolons at the harvest time, elasticity of stolons, binding force of tubers with stolons and stolon length were investigated. Dependence of the above features on the weather course in the investigation years and the properties of the given variety has been proved. Some properties of plants changed depending on the nitrogen fertilization level
