Soils differing in pH were used in this study. Liming of the soil before its saturation with Cu, Cr and Pb cations lowered their desorption from the sorption complex under the influence of exchangeable cations. In limed soil saturated with Ni, Co, Zn and Cd cations desorption of these metals by Ba was generally higher than in unlimed soil
