Three-year results of a field investigation concerning the resistance of ten sugar beet cultivars against the feeding of Pegomyia hyoscyami Panz. larvae are presented. The number of feeding larvae and the quantity of consumed leaf tissue were determined. PN-Mono 4 was characterized by the highest resistance and four other cultivars by the fairly high one
