An experiment on rats given a diet contained the non-protein nitrogen fraction (NPN) isolated from non-toasted or toasted rapeseed meal was carried out. The negative correlation between the diet NPN content and and feed intake and weight gain in rats was stated. The higher nutritive value of NPN of non-toasted rapeseed meal than that toasted was found
