Electrolyte concentration and osmolality of blood plasma in sheep during repeated isolation from the flock

An experiment on ewes isolated from the flock at 1 or 7 days interval during 2 weeks with feed and water withdrawal was carried out. The slight decrease in haematocrit number and haemoglobin concentration in the all stressed ewes was found. The increase of sodium concentration and osmolality of blood plasma as well as an decrease of blood plasma potassium concentration in ewes separated from the stock at 1 day interval was observed
