The effect of copper sulphate in doses of 6, 60, and 1000 mg Cu per 7 kg of soil (experiment 1) and of copper sulphate and Cu-EDTA in doses of 7, 21, 35, 70, and 150 mg Cu (Experiment 2) on the content of N, P, K, Ca, Mg, Na, and Cl in the grain, straw and roots of oats were investigated. The effect of copper microfertilizers on the level of macronutrients in plants of oats depended on the dose. Copper fertilizing effected a translocation of macronutrients from roots to tops, and from straw to grain. The effect of low doses was inconsiderable, while the high dose distinctly narrowed the ratio of Ca and Mg content (and in a lesser degree also that of Na and P) in tops to their content in roots, and widened this ratio in the case of Na. The toxic copper dose still more decreased these values for P, Ca, and Mg, decreased it also for K, and increased it for Na
