Epizootological status of rabies in Yugoslavia in the period 1977-1987

In the studied period (1977-1987), a large number of rabies cases was recorded on a large territory of Yugoslavia. Sylvan and urban rabies were recorded. In some parts sylvan rabies dominated while in others urban rabies. In the last 7 years, there were no cases of rabies infection of man. This information is given as proof of the successful work of veterinary services in Yugoslavia. This work also describes immunoprophylactic measures.
