Influence of preventive treatment and fertilization on broadleaved tree seedlings grown in containers

In the article are presented the results of preventive treatment and fertilization on containerized seedling production of the following broadleaved species: Quercus rubra, Acer pseudoplatanus, Fagus moesiaca and Celtis australis. The experiment was set up in five variants: 1.-treatment with Benomil; 2.- treatment with copperoxychloride; 3.-treatment with copperoxychloride in combination with NPK fertilizer; 4.-treatment with NPK fertilizer and 5.- control. The obtained results show that the application of protective measures has a positive effect on survival of seedlings of A. pseudoplatanus and Qu rubra. Also fertilization has a positive influence on better growth of all studied species.
